Federal Scholarships

I was involved in the Support Our Science campaign advocating for an increase to scholarships and fellowships for graduate students and post-doctoral scholars as well as increased research grants. This culminated in $2.6 billion of additonal funding committed in Budget 2024.

A huge part of this work was raising awareness and understanding of the financial situation of graduate students. This was partly done through a nationwide survey of graduate students and then meeting with various MPs, MPPs and other stakeholders to increse the profile of these results.
